As a Research Associate, he provides research support to clients, including conducting literature searches, preparation of reports and regulatory submissions, and developing databases for client projects. He previously conducted research at The Johns Hopkins Medical Institute in protein design and at The Johns Hopkins University in biophysical protein characterization. Specifically, he designed, cloned, and tested genetically encoded bioluminescence resonance energy transfer (BRET) and fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) biosensors for in vivo cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) concentration detection and studied the biophysical properties of the periplasmic chaperone protein SurA.
